  3. Cool, maybe I can make a decent sim-self now. Wear my hair like this all the time. Thanks Anubis.

  4. The texture makes it look a little plastic, the thingy on the back in particular.

  5. Textures with adjust-shine are the ones that look plastic, like those overly shiny wigs.

Yeah, I wish the textures weren't linked to adult and that the hairs for child and toddler had been made separate so I wouldn't have to install the adult hair, too. People might say, "It's just one more file," but I have a lot of packages that were a case of "it's just one more file," and over time, those really do add up. I'm trying to cut out anything I don't absolutely want.

Linking textures decreases file size, if he had made them all seperately the file size would be bigger, unless he linked the toddler version to the child

I hope it doesn't become a habit. I already have older hairs where child/toddler is linked to adult and it sucks because there are some hairs that look absolutely great on kids, but I think they look horrid on adults and I hate seeing them in my list of hairs. It is just as annoying when a creator like Rose or Cazy decides to link male/female hairs - I'd rather deal with a slightly larger size of only the hair I want to install than have to deal with installing a hair that I absolutely don't want on males. Sometimes it's not as easy as just unchecking something in CTU either; sometimes it works and other times it doesn't look right in the game.

I've just never liked the master/slave way of setting anything up because of the reasons above. If you only want a "slave" file and don't want the master, then you have to end up installing files you don't want.

  17. Also, having files linked is a pain if someone else fixes a hair you like in the future and they only do one of the ages.

For instance, there was the Raon ponytail (the one at the base of the neck) that Anubis had done several months ago. It had issues that Anubis admitted he did not know how to fix at the time. Well, Savio recently redid it and fixed those issues (one of which was a large gap being noticeable when you zoomed). However, he only did the adult version. Anubis had linked the child and toddler version of his, so I couldn't get rid of the faulty version if I wanted to keep the child and toddler hairs. I just decided to not install Savio's because I basically didn't want two of the same hairs in my game, even though one had been fixed and the other hadn't.

This is why files should always be separate.

  18. *linked the child and toddler version of his to the adult, I mean

  19. Geez. If you don't download for the simple excuse that you will be "forced" to have another hair.
Then do it yourself, extract the textures from the adult one and put on the child's package.
    Use S3PE.
    DONE!

    Thanks Anubis, great conversion!

The flop on the back is way too weirdly and indescribably sexual for me to consider downloading, blegh

You must be a virgin if you think there's anything sexual about that hair.
