Overall there are far too many "happy-go-lucky" downloads for the sims 3 as opposed to your bleak, dreary, and blood-drenched. I mean, hell, older sims games had expansions with vampires, magic, and whatnot, and we don't have that yet. :( Try building a haunted house or Halloween themed lot and see how many related objects you can find. :/
