  1. Chestnut is actually the last free hair, I believe (the last short unisex one). The download link on NewSea's site leads to the wrong file.

The donation one looks nice, and I like the *idea* of the victory rolls, but they're not very realistic looking.

  8. This 1st one would be cute IF the two knots weren't on the side. Maybe a clip would've been better instead.

  10. And as far as the last wig... yet another hair that sadly is "landing" in the air and not on the shoulders. What more is there to say? Brilliant work as usually!

  11. it sucks that newsea donation hair are literally impossible to get, most of us spend up to 2 week or more waiting for these hairs to show up at the cave.

but yea the first one was foul when man converted it and its foul when converted by newsea...its just an ugly hair.lol

  13. i quit downloading hairs period, they break on the shoulders wrong or have odd angles in them that don't move with the bodies.

plus they're all REALLY ugly IMHO.

    UGLY. blech

I just wish someone could make nice, realistic man hairs.

  22. I love the Sims 3 but I have to admit the Sims 2 has got the Sims 3 beat as far as hair is concerned. I haven't found that many hair styles that look that good for the Sims 3. The first do is pukey. The second doesn't look much better.

  23. Well people had a lot of time to get used to and hone the skills of making hair for the sims2 (which may have been a bit easier due to subpar graphics), give creators more time and I'm sure there will be more impressive hairs eventually.

However, these two hairs... I would not download... even if someone was holding a gun to my head telling me to. They're just terrible in every way. Not really a huge fan of Newsea anyway, with their 3$ hairs. Freakin' kidding me?

  24. I like the second one. It looks normal, and reminds me of my own hair.

  25. lol its funny how they made the first one free

  28. I think the second hair is actually pretty nice. I'm not that much of a perfectionist, I guess, but floating bits don't bother me unless they are extreme.

What people sometimes forget is that Sims 3 has a much broader range of body sizes/shapes. I'm no mesher, but I assume that making the bones morphable isn't always enough to make them fit, so floaty bits are a sort of work-around. As an anon pointed out, it might take a while before people are as skilled at making TS3 hairs as they were with TS2. Considering how new the game still is, I think downloaders are actually extremely lucky to have what we already do.
